Attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) is a behavioural disorder that is inclusive of the following symptoms: inattentiveness, hyperactivity and impulsiveness. This disorder often comes to a parents’ attention when the child is around the age of 6 to 12 years old.  Children with ADHD tend to find difficulties being organized, interacting with others in different social settings, listening and following through with instructions or even getting ready in the morning for school. They have a limited attention span and can also be distracted very easily. Some of the other symptoms to look out for are losing or forgetting things often, not being able to sit still, fidgeting, not be able to wait, unusually talkative and excessive physical activity.

Can you imagine how tough a school environment could be for a child with this disorder? They are exposed to social situations with teachers and peers, multiple step complex instructions given by teachers and several tasks given in the classroom. Catch Up Kids was designed to help each child with their individual needs. We create and implement a program that is child specific with goals that would assist your child to manage the pressure and demands of school and life itself.
