ADHD and Gut Health

 Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder is a condition that is a neurodevelopmental condition which is characterised by symptoms of hyperactivity, inattention, and impulsivity. These symptoms disrupt the daily functioning of children. The exact cause of ADHD is unknown; however, research shows that there are contributing factors for the increased severity of the symptoms of ADHD in children. One of the contributing factors is the presence of a larger microbiome in the gut, Research also shows that there is an association between microbiome and a leaky gut.
